Standards-Based Learning

Lindbergh Schools uses standards-based learning at the elementary and middle school levels to improve clarity, consistency and accuracy in K-7 grading practices. Standards-based learning:

  • Provides students and families with clear and accurate communication about their learning progress
  • Creates consistent standards of achievement across all Lindbergh elementary schools
  • Establishes a consistent definition of “mastery” for all students districtwide
  • Measures learning as a progression, where all students continue to grow, regardless of their current level of achievement
