Standards-Based Learning
Lindbergh Schools uses standards-based learning at the elementary and middle school levels to improve clarity, consistency and accuracy in K-7 grading practices. Standards-based learning:
- Provides students and families with clear and accurate communication about their learning progress
- Creates consistent standards of achievement across all Lindbergh elementary schools
- Establishes a consistent definition of “mastery” for all students districtwide
- Measures learning as a progression, where all students continue to grow, regardless of their current level of achievement

8th-12th Grade Standards-Based Learning Task Force Update
At this time, the task force will continue its study during the 2025-26 school year based on the recommendations they have developed through their work, and no changes will be made to current grading practices.

Standards-Based Learning Information for Sixth Grade Families
This year, Lindbergh sixth grade core classes have continued to implement standards-based learning and reporting that was introduced to students in fifth grade.
