Safety and Security

Lindbergh Schools is committed to taking proactive measures to protect the safety and security of all of our students and staff. We have made preparations to deal effectively with emergency situations that could occur in or around our schools while classes are in session. While we hope that a natural disaster or other serious incident never occurs, our goal is to be as prepared as possible for any potential emergency. Our priority at all times is to protect all students and staff from harm.

The district and all schools have crisis and safety plans. The plans are designed with the assistance of administrative staff, as well as local law enforcement, emergency management and public health officials. The plans, which are regularly reviewed and updated, include procedures to respond to a variety of crisis incidents. School district personnel practice drills associated with some of these specific emergencies on a regular basis, including fire, tornado, earthquake and intruder drills.

CrisisAlert School Safety Solution

Lindbergh Schools is using the CrisisAlert School Safety Solution by Centegix to empower staff and keep students safe during the school day.

All Lindbergh employees wear a CrisisAlert badge that works in any Lindbergh building and allows them to call for help with the push of a button. The CrisisAlert system supports a fast, reliable response from the school administrative team for events such as medical emergencies, student altercations, unauthorized visitors, suspicious activity, and similar situations, by routing requests for help to key personnel instantly.

In the event of a school intruder, CrisisAlert goes one step further and allows any staff member to activate a lockdown response in the school building. The lockdown alert instantly reaches every staff member in the building, and first responders, during a time when every second matters.

How does it work?

Lindbergh employees wear a badge with a single button that allows quick response in any situation, from minor to emergency.

Lockdown alerts communicate emergency information using colored strobe lights, desktop alerts, and intercom integration. With a single notification, all building staff, district administrators and first responders are notified, and an entire school can go into lockdown in an instant.

Total facility coverage and location accuracy

The badges function everywhere, inside and outside, and the CrisisAlert technology determines the location of the alert, down to an individual room and floor, so first responders know exactly where help is needed.
