The Concord Elementary School gymnasium transformed in to a three-ring circus April 19, complete with a ringmaster, pretend lions, tumblers and clowns!
The Concord Circus was performed entirely by second-graders, and sponsored by the art, library, music and physical education departments.
Students learned new skills in physical education and studied related music to accompany those skills performances. In addition, they learned about the history of the circus during library time and proudly displayed circus-related art projects.
It was a fun way to combine several subjects into a spectacular event under the big top!
