Schools around the district helped motivate students for MAP testing last week with a variety of fun activities.
At Sappington Elementary School, third-, fourth- and fifth-graders gathered in the gym to review and get excited about MAP. Students learned test-taking skills from sports videos (who would have thought?), and then had to “buzz in” their answers to 10 test-taking questions. Finally, the group got energized for their tests with some MAP music.
Crestwood Elementary School kindergarten buddies took time last week to wish their older friends well at the start of MAP testing. In addition, all students got a pre-game “pep talk” from their teachers and principal, who dressed up in Cardinal gear and sang “Take Me Out to the MAP Test”!
Truman Middle School students experienced a different kind of silliness when seventh-grade math teacher Mr. Brad Snyder took on the role of TMS cheerleader to help his classes get pumped for MAP testing!
