Thank you for celebrating with us at Sappington today, Sen. Scott Sifton and Dr. Tim Ricker from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education! Dr. Ricker presented Sappington with the Missouri Gold Star School Award, and Sen. Sifton brought a resolution from the Missouri senate. Sappington is one of only 2 elementary schools in Missouri to earn this distinguished honor for academic excellence in 2012-13!

On Tuesday, Feb. 7, Sappington Elementary School PTG hosted a “Salute to the Arts.” Parents Mr. and Mrs. Harris, of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, performed for the parents and students, and art teacher Mr. Rob George displayed student art work in the halls. In addition, the Sappington Strings and Chorus performed. In all, 100 people attended the evening’s events.
